The Voice coach previously admitted he is definitely "ready" to be a father and said it was life's main purpose.
He said: "I'm ready to be a dad. You're born to be a parent, that's what we're here for, really. All the other s*** is great, but it's not what we're here for."
However, he is trying to ignore some of the advice he and Behati, 27, have been offered as they want to bring up their little girl in their own way.
The Maroon 5 frontman and his model wife - who have been together for six years and married in July 2014 - have become parents for the first time.
