By now, people have more than just an idea about presidential candidate Donald Trump and his vision to ‘Make America great again’. Campaigning for the US elections, one of his most common target has been against non-Americans, especially Muslims.

Such statements have evidently caused a ripple in the country, so much so, even little children’s minds are getting affected. Zeeshan ul-hassan Usmani, a Muslim man who lives in the United States with his family recently took to Facebook to post about how his seven-year-old son was reportedly bullied in school bus, just because he is a Muslim.

Ironical that a man who works to counter terrorist activities in the country was subjected to one

“Welcome to the United States of America of Donald Trump. Meet my son Abdul Aziz. He is in grade 1, bullied and beaten by his own classmates in the school bus for being a Muslim.”

Along with the post is attached a photo of his son with his arm in a sling.

Talking to the Independent, Usmani, who works to combat terrorism, said his wife witnessed their son get down from the bus some time back, bruised and injured. Apparently, his classmates had beaten and punched him and twisted his hand, while repeatedly calling him “Muslim”.

It is ironical that a man who works to counter terrorist activities in the country was subjected to such levels of animosity, only because he happens to be a Muslim.

Wake County Public School system, the school to which Usmani’s son went to, is however yet to get back to him. Reportedly, the school authorities have been telling other parents and the media that his son’s version of what happened did not corroborate theirs.

In a video, the child is asked to narrate what happened on the bus, again. In a heart-breaking moment, he says to the camera how the other kids who bullied him were his friends, but “those who bully friends, are not friends.”

Disheartened by what has happened, Usmani reportedly took his family to Pakistan last week and is now trying to find an online schooling system for his three children.

This is the Facebook post.
